Aaron Space (1972)
Alright so today im gonna talk about one of my favorite Canadian rock bands.Aaron space.Who Unfortunately made only one album. Now with most of these underground bands they are signed with very little known record labels.but Aaron space was signed to warner bros record label.
Now i especially love this album for its range.the song go from kick ass hard rock
To Psychedelic.with a awesome wah wah effect!
To Country!
As far as i know the album only produced one mild hit in canada.Keep on Moving.
Now my top picks are
Rainbow ride
Keep on moving
north country rock & roll
The Loser

Buffalo - Volcanic Rock
Alright today im gonna Spotlight one of my favorites.if not my favorite album from the underground scene of the 1970's.The year is 1973.The Band is Buffalo. The Album Volcanic Rock. The country Australia.
This was Buffalo's second and far more superior album. Not many albums have a heavy psych/Proto metal feel a strong as this one.especially considering the time it was recorded.it also has one of my favorite album covers of all time.which garnered quite a bit of controversy in its day.due to the top half of the album having naked man holding a penis shaped rock and the bottom half having.well a lady's bottom half.
The album starts of great with the Hard rockin tune Sunrise (Coming my way)
The second (And in my opinion Best song) Freedom is great for a number of reason.but for some reason the longest song on albums or usually my favorites.and this is no exception.
Then comes The Prophet.which just kicks ass right from the start with that heavy riff.
And then out of no where they hit me with Shylock. With One of the heaviest Guitar riffs i have ever heard!
Buffalo had a great album before this one called Dead Forever. And few good ones after this one.but they remained steady with the they'r popularity in Australia unfortunately never getting popular in america.i dont know what any of the other members have been up to recently but i know Dave Tice (The Singer) recently paired up with mark evans former bassist of AC/DC and they did some show together.Well i would say go by the album.but you know the only you can have it is on vinyl.and that cost about $200.so go get the CD if you can!

Sixto Rodriguez
Sixto Rodriguez (Pronounced Seex-tuh rodriguez) is a Folk rock musician from from Detroit who made music in the 60's & 70's who is thankfully becoming more popular & well known in America. But is still relatively unknown.I only found out about him a month or 2 ago reading an article about films in the Cannes film festival. In the article they mentioned a movie Called Searching for Sugar man.I looked up the movie and it sounded right up my alley so i looked up the Sixto rodriguez up on Youtube. And when i first heard just a few of his song my jaw hit the floor.I was so stunned about how freaking good his songs were They blew my mind & brought tears to my eyes.
The first song i listened to was sugar man (of course).and i loved it.
but the more i looked the better they got.with songs like Crucify your mind
& Forget it
So after couple hours of listening to his music & researching him i found my all time favorite.
Cause
Well thats all i have to say for now.if you liked these song i suggest you buy both of his album Cold Fact & Coming from reality they are well worth it.

The 1st Heavy metal Song of All time
Dust - Hard Attack (1972)
Got a great one for you today. From new york city.Dust.By far one of the best if not the best band in the underground scene from the 70's.This was also the 1st band of Marc Bell Who would later join The Ramones & change his name to Marky Ramone. They were signed to Kama sutra records and made 2 albums.S/T Dust in 1971 & Hard attack in 1972.Both albums are absolute classics in my eyes but the 2nd i think is better.
Now another thing i love about the album is the artwork.originally done by Frank frazetta.Titled snow giants.now he did lots of great album covers like Molly hatchet's Flirtin with disaster and theyr self titled album.and Nazareth's expect no mercy.
Track list
1.Pull away/So many times
2.Walk in the soft rain
3.Thusly Spoken
4.Learning to die
5.All in all
6.I been thinkin
7.ivory
8.Suicide/Entranco
